QUT’s reputation as a 'university for the real world' is founded on the strong partnerships and relationships it has developed with business, government and the broader community.
The Faculty of Business regularly engages with local and global external partners, alumni, and the community.
The QUT Business Leaders’ Forum offers members of Brisbane’s corporate community access to leading speakers on important commercial, economic and political issues.
Community engagement and service are key areas of university performance, reflected in top level plans, key performance indicators and funding distribution. The Faculty of Business was the second highest in the University for reportable community service activities in 2003.
Many Faculty staff contribute to national and international community activities through, for example, leadership roles on professional associations and through providing significant support to the broader education community and non-university business education.
The Faculty has a strong culture of bringing in community resources to aid in the teaching and selection of our student body and as support for our research.
There is high level of industry and professional support for Faculty governance through School Advisory Boards, usually chaired by external partners.
QUT Corporate Education partners with corporate and government organisations to provide customised award and non-award programs that meet the organisations business requirements.
