QUT first in Australia to achieve ‘triple crown’
The Faculty of Business has officially moved into the top echelon of Australian business faculties by becoming the first Business School in Australia to earn all three leading international accreditation symbols of excellence – AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS.

During the last few years, the Faculty of Business has attained official recognition with the world’s leading accrediting bodies.
- In 2003, AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation was awarded for the quality and delivery of our MBA program through the Brisbane Graduate School of Business. The Faculty was successfully re-accredited with AMBA in September 2008.
- In late 2004, the Faculty was successful in attaining EQUIS accreditation (the accreditation process of the European Foundation for Management Development). The Faculty continues to be successful in sustaining these international benchmarks of excellence by being successfully re-accredited with EQUIS in February 2008.
- In August 2005, AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) also conferred its AACSB accreditation label upon the Faculty. Watch the interactive presentation.
The Faculty has reached its objectives of achieving international recognition for the quality of its degree programs by working within a philosophy of continuous quality improvement. Accredited members are required to comply with these organisations’ maintenance programs, which include regular self-evaluation processes. These are assessed against an extensive range of quality standards that benchmark international standards of management education.
